The purpose of this presentation is to corroborate or refute the fears about the possible negative implications of the ECOWAS Common External Tariffs on the Nigerian manufacturing sector. Nigeria adopted a modified ECOWAS CET on October 1, 2005. Modified because Nigeria implemented a five band CET instead of the four bands by other ECOWAS countries then.

WDI Database Made Easy: Stacking Variables of Many Countries for Panel Analysis in 30 Minutes.
By
Afolabi E. Olowookere
Introduction
The WDI database (Ms Excel format) is stacked over variables and countries and since there are about 243 countries and 1260 variables, there are over 200,000 rows which a user has to navigate through in order to obtain the needed data. This process can be tasking; besides, the user who is interested in a multi-country analysis still has the duty of re-stacking these variables into a format amenable to panel analysis. Hence, the objective of this seminar is to show how this arduous process can simplified via the application of some time and task management techniques. During this seminar, other functions can be learnt.
Participants are expected to have basic knowledge of Ms Excel and STATA software and they should have WDI data on their systems.

The Joomla! content management system lets you create webpages of various types using extensions. There are 5 basic types of extensions: components, modules, templates, languages, and plugins.
